Family and Children Law
FPH law offers a wide range of legal services in relation to Family and Children Law; from injunctions to care proceedings and all types of family disputes in between. We understand that these types of issues can be extremely challenging and stressful, that’s why our dedicated team of Solicitors and advisors provide sensitive and realistic advice on all the issues that you and your family are facing.
When agreements cannot be reached in relation to arrangements for children, it is important to have advice that is child-focused and aims at resolving conflict quickly.
Our experienced Family and Children Team can assist with all aspects of Children Law including:
- Removal of children from the Jurisdiction of the UK
- Parental Responsibility
- Prohibited Steps and Specific Issue applications
- Change of Name Deeds
- Private Adoptions
Care Proceeding and Social Services Concerns
If you are having difficulties dealing with social services, your children have been taken into care or they are subject to a Child Protection Agreement, we can help. Our Family and Children Team can provide you with robust support and advice throughout the process and will represent your interests at Court to ensure that your voice is heard.
If you are experiencing domestic violence or abuse, don’t suffer in silence. Talk to us as soon as possible so that we can help you obtain immediate protection for you and your children. We can ask the Court to make a Non-Molestation Order to prevent abuse or an Occupation Order to exclude the abuser from the family home for a period of time. In certain cases, it may be possible for us to make an emergency application to the Court the same day that you meet with us.
We do our best to offer same day appointments but would advise that if you are suffering any abuse, to always contact the Police first and report your concerns.
Divorce and Separation
FPH Law’s team of legal advisors can provide you with clear and concise advice regarding Divorce and Separation. So that we can understand your concerns, contact one of our team to arrange an initial fixed fee meeting so that we can discuss the process with you.
In April 2013, the Government made sweeping changes to the Legal Aid system which meant that some types of work were no longer eligible or were subject to restrictions. FPH Law will fully assess your case at the initial interview to check whether funding is available. A legal Aid calculator is available online for public use: www.gov.uk/check-legal-aid. Please note that the calculator only provides guidance on the availability of Legal Aid for your case. For a detailed assessment of your eligibility, call us today for an appointment.
